Holiday in South Tirol: Sport and more
Sporting and group activities for a carefree holiday
Alto Adige and the Merano region are ideal for a holiday in South Tyrol full of activity for sports apart from trekking in the Alps or Dolomites, golf and tennis. Countless stables, Nordic walking trails in the middle of the splendid nature, beautiful mountain bike or road bike trails: Each guest at the Giardino Marling will find its own sport to relax and stay active. For brave ones there are even various adrenaline-sports such as paragliding or rafting!
Riding in South Tirol
Riding holidays in South Tirol: South Tirol is the home of the “Haflinger” horse. This breed of mountain horse is particularly loved by teenagers for their good nature and friendliness. In the Merano Riding Centre and in Riding School Schloss Baslan in Marling beginners and more advanced riders can have a go in the saddle of these beautiful horses. Other breeds are also available.
Wend your way through the forests with a faithful steed beneath you and a pistol in your holster – it may not be quite like that today, but this riding experience is reminiscent of the cowboy era and you will feel like you’re in a Western. At last! Something a little bit different for your teenagers. Head for the Quellenhof in the sport zone of St. Martin, or to the Sandhof in St. Leonhard, both of which are in Passeiertal.
If you would prefer to have a go on a trusty Haflinger horse head for the Sulfner Reiterhof above Merano. Anywhere you want to go can be reached by car from Merano in no more than half an hour.
