Hospitality for generations.
Many personalities. One shared promise.

The art of hospitality

"True hospitality cannot be scaled endlessly. It arises in conversation, in attentiveness, in the moment – and it needs people who live it. At the Giardino, we have been doing exactly that for three generations. What drives us is not growth for its own sake, but the conviction that every guest deserves to be truly seen. Our house is deliberately small, our offering deliberately curated – so that we can look after what matters: you.
Our team knows your names, your favourite tables and your preferences. Not because it's our job, but because it matters to us. That is the art of hospitality as we understand it and live it every day.
Welcome to the Giardino Marling."

Ulrike Klammer with Anna & Alessandro

The Hosts at Giardino Marling · Ulrike Klammer

Over the decades, Ulrike Klammer has made the Giardino what it is today. Her signature shows in every corner of the house – in the flowers, the colours and the lovingly chosen details, and just as much in the areas guests rarely see: the wellbeing of the team, the upkeep of the house and the daily care behind the scenes.

The Hosts at Giardino Marling · Alessandro

That an encounter on Vancouver Island would one day change his life so completely was something Alessandro could hardly have imagined back then. Today he has traded international finance figures for wine, cuisine and hospitality – making sure that neither the Giardino's cellar nor its ideas ever run dry.

The Hosts at Giardino Marling · Anna

Having grown up in the corridors of the Giardino, Anna was discovered as a teenager behind the bar more as a teller of jokes than as a future hotelier. After a few years in other industries, her path led her back home. Today, as a creative whirlwind, she brings fresh ideas, the courage to take new paths and, above all, a great deal of heart to the Giardino.

It is these encounters that give a place its soul. And the people who make them possible.

Our reception team

The artists of the first impression

Our reception team

The first contact with the Giardino almost always goes through them. Artur, Tim, Mavi and Magdalena accompany our guests from the first enquiry to a warm goodbye. With attentiveness, a talent for organisation and an open ear, they turn small questions into quick solutions and arrivals into a heartfelt welcome.

And what do our guests say?

For us an absolutely quiet, perfect hotel.

Mrs Klammer and her team reflect a wonderful hospitality.

We have been travelling to this hotel for several years and always feel very comfortable here, like at home.

All the rooms are very tastefully furnished, some of them have a marvelous view of Merano, the valley, the surrounding mountains and the beautiful garden. In every corner of the hotel you are confronted with the tasteful furnishings and the beautiful floral decorations. You can only fall in love with the hotel. The hotel owners as well as all the hotel staff are very friendly and always endeavor to fulfil all the wishes of the hotel guests. We can only recommend this hotel at any time of the year.

We would love to come back!

The rooms are modern and tastefully furnished.

The spa and wellness facilities have something for everyone and the cuisine conjures up first-class South Tyrolean specialties.

I can only recommend lunch on the terrace with a view of Merano and the blossoming cherry trees around the hotel.
